| Columbus AMA Presents: The Power of Pink - Using Social Media to Engage, Educate and Inspire Join us! Becca Thomas of the Columbus Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure will share how the non-profit uses social media to reach their community of supporters and survivors. Learn how she grew the Affiliate’s presence in social media and the best practices she discovered along the way. About the Speaker: Becca Thomas is the Director of Events and Marketing for the Columbus Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and oversees all activities and promotion for the Affiliate. This includes the annual Race for the Cure, currently the second largest Race for the Cure in the country. Dabbling in social media since 2007, Becca set up all the social media channels for the non-profit and has learned the good and the bad of having an online presence, 24/7. Becca previously worked for a PR agency and has a degree in PR/Journalism from the Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. The three panelists will specifically discuss the significance of mobile media for marketing professionals? What should marketing professionals know about mobile media as they continue their work in the interactive space.
Event attendees can expect to learn the successes and challenges of launching and executing a successful mobile application discovery campaign; what to consider when moving your organization into the mobile space; and how mobile applications can be integrated into an ongoing marketing campaign.
